Ravensdale Studios is a family run business, established in 1979. It’s chief  restorer is Lyngard Simpson who, during this time, has earned a reputation for excellence within the antiques industry that is second to none.

Born into a family of artists in Stoke-on-Trent , Lyngard graduated from ArtCollege in the 1960’s and, somewhat naturally, began a career in ceramics by following in the  footsteps of his mother and father – both prestigious figure painters at Royal Doulton.

As a ceramic artist, he worked for some of the major companies in Stoke-on-Trent.

Since co-founding Ravensdale Studios, Lyngard has restored ceramic antiques for dealers and private collector’s from all over the world, producing work of such high quality that he has been asked to work on projects for museums such as Wedgwood, Minton and Royal Doulton.

Lyngard and his team pride themselves on producing work of the highest quality on invisible repairs – no job is too challenging. Indeed, pieces often dismissed by other restorers as too difficult, more often than not find their way to Ravensdale Studios.

Estimates can be given in person, by telephone or via e-mail. Items can be posted or delivered in person to our office in Stoke-on-Trent, or to a secondary address in Haworth (West Yorkshire).
